Cell Phone Driving And The New Age

Every day someone hears of another accident due to cell phone driving. Therefore, this has developed into a problem issue all over the world. Many innocent kids and adults alike have been killed at the hands of those driving while calling. More recently, an upstart trend has begun regarding communications while driving which is creating and sending texting and e-mail while driving.

Cellular phones first became popular in the mid-1990s. Now, with all the cutting edge technologies powering the release of smartphones, it seems everyone in the country either wants a smartphone or uses one daily. While one can desire to have one handy at all times, people still need to be cautioned to use a hands-free device when talking and driving at the exact same time. Although, a more recent issue relative to operating a vehicle while talking is not as much about voice calls but texting while operating a vehicle.

More recently, studies have provided a connection between talking and texting on a phone as being nearly 10,000,000 users. In a lot of areas today, individuals are being cited for using regular hand-held phones rather than hands-free devices. So, a driver must be cautious and learn the laws in varied areas. But, if a person truly is concerned about other drivers, a driver will always use a hands-free system or hold-off until a person arrives at their destination to call.

Why is driving and calling on a mobile phone so incredibly distracting? The response is simple, if a driver is not using a hands-free system then their hands aren’t available in case a driver has an emergency predicament. Instead, if a person is calling on a hands-free unit, their hands are ready in the event an emergency situation should occur. However, this is not saying that calling, even on a hands-free device in the car cannot be a distraction. That is due to the fact one never knows what the other party on the other end may say resulting in a response of laughter or tears; Thus, causing an emotional-physical response which can also cause one to become distracted while at the wheel.

Something as simple as a tire blow-out while a person is talking on a cell phone, especially not using a hands-free system can cause one to suffer a loss of control of a vehicle, endangering both oneself and other drivers. Also, if one is operating a car through a residential area with school children while talking on a mobile phone a driver might not be able to react fast enough if a child ran onto the road to get a toy. This is especially true if a person is texting while driving a car because there is divided attention to operating a car. For clear reasons, this is definitely true when texting while operating a vehicle.

The numbers demonstrate that probabilities are three hundred percent greater that one may have an accident while driving and calling. This is because of the diversion both talking and replying back to someone on a cell phone can make. Therefore, ending in an overwhelming number of car-to-car and car-to-pedestrian incidents. The car-to-pedestrian situation has a possible involuntary manslaughter charge in some areas or at the minimum, a suspension of a drivers license. Therefore, it is best if one can do their phone calls at other than when driving.

Older statistics suggest there were more than ten million people speaking on mobile phones while operating cars in 2005. So, when one adds the number of years additional car operators have joined the group of cell phone owners on the streets to the present time, it’s a vast number of people. For this purpose, there are likely a lot more than 10,000,000 now cruising and calling on cell phones.

So, if a person desires to continue to breathe freely, stay out of jail, and keep their wealth clear of lawsuits, it is better a driver never calls on a cell phone and operate a car without a hands-free device. It is even better if one can wait until one reaches their destination before taking a phonecall. After all, holding-off to take a call could be a preserving lives, including a person’s own.

Driving with a mobile phone can be deadly and result in death or accident if your not careful. You will see that the mobile phone law takes effect to those that drive and talk on the mobile phone. The hands free driving will stop mobile phone usage while driving.
