Great Stats Of Honda Corp. Engines.

Japan has many reliable companies like Honda Corporation, a name trusted when it comes to quality engines. Hearing their name in the market is enough to give you an idea that how Honda engines are made with high quality materials and will not give up on your vehicle even if it’s a regular car, racing, motorcycles, SUVs, and a lot more. Honda makes engines that will meet your vehicle needs and with guaranteed stability for daily use.

Honda automotive engines are known to be less likely to overheat because they breathe well. The automotive engines have big valves and big ports in their cylinder heads. They were designed to take in more air but are unfortunately limited by the plastic intake system. Although the intake manifolds are very well designed, the plastic system was put in because its design provided for quiet and easy manufacture. You can however, change the complicated intake system with a smooth metal tube and replace the air filter with one that has a lower restriction which you can put in the front bumper outside the engine. It will provide colder air and will have better efficiency and performance. Honda engines are known to perform smoothly at high RPMs and are balanced well.

Honda is also well known for its automotive VTEC cam system which is now popular in the automotive industry. In this system the engine was designed to have two camshaft lobes with different tasks. The first lobe is designed to provide good idling and a low-end torque. On the other hand the other lobe was designed and tuned for efficient power. The turbo chargers in the VTEC engines are now replaced by the camshaft lobes. Honda engines are praised for its durability and reliability which are seen in many Integra cars which boast for still having complete original parts despite having traveled over 700,000 kilometers.

Another engine that Honda manufactures is the four-stroke engines, of which it is a known leader in the industry. The company has categorized these engines into commercial grade and consumer grade. These commercial grade engines or GX Series engines are reliable and advanced technologically speaking. Honda now has engines that have horizontal and vertical shafts. They also have a lightweight design that is known for fuel and oil efficiency, the Overhead Valve (OHV) models. These types of engines are used for construction, maintenance and power equipments. Engines that are being rented out are usually Honda OHV engines that are almost always subjected to severe tests of durability and have come out with a reliable performance with minimal maintenance and repair. Honda came first in this engine’s slant cylinder overhead valve technology. This design has kept up very well with the emission standards set by the US government.

Meanwhile the consumer grade or CS engine series are for household use. The engines have single block, overhead camshaft design. The inclusion of internal timing belt makes the engine a low-profiled engine and at the same time keeps the dirt from building up on its belts and gears. The design also allows easy entry of fuel to the combustion chamber to ensure fast and reliable starting action of the engine.
