Welcome to Big Jeffs Craps Tables
For a century after its invention, Craps was abused by casinos using unfair dice. The shooter is required to make either a pass line bet or a Don't Pass bet if he wants to shoot. In all the above scenarios, whenever the Pass line wins, the Don't Pass line loses, and vice versa , with one exception: Big Jeffs Craps Tables. When tipping, the most common way is simply to toss chips onto the table and say, "For the dealers", "For the Crew", or "For the boys" the second is considered acceptable even though dealers often are women; by the same token, female stickmen and boxmen are still referred to as such; not for example, boxwoman or stickperson.
Craps is a dice game in which the players make wagers on the outcome of the roll, or a series of rolls, of a pair of dice. Players may wager money against each other playing "street craps" or a bank playing " casino craps", also known as "table craps", or often just "craps". Because it requires little equipment, "street craps" can be played in informal settings. Craps developed in the United States from a simplification of the western European game of Hazard.
The origins of Hazard are obscure and may date to the Crusades. Hazard was brought from London to New Orleans about by the returning Bernard Xavier Philippe de Marigny de Mandeville , the young gambler and scion of a family of wealthy colonial Louisiana landowners.
Both Hazard and its new offshoot were unfamiliar and rejected by Americans of his social class, leading de Marigny to introduce his novelty to the local underclass. Fieldhands taught their friends, and deckhands carried the new game up the Mississippi River. Celebrating the popular success of his novelty, de Marigny gave the name Craps to a street in his New Orleans real estate development.
The central game, called Pass from the French word for pace or step, has been gradually supplemented over the decades by many companion games which can be played simultaneously. The entire collection of over one hundred separate and independent possible games is called Craps.

Build a full size craps table! Oct 3, Messages: OK so call me crazy but, I am building myself a full size craps table!! Does anyone know the dimensions of an official casino craps table like you would find at the Hollywood casino's etc. Dimensions such as overall height, height of top of table from floor, width, etc.
I want this table to be exact copy of one you would find at the Hollywood casinos. So far I have come up with: L 12' x W 5' x H 40" inches high meaning the chip rail height is 40" But how tall are the table sides from the top of the chip rail to the top of the felt? So far I have order a lot of items and a lot of the material all ready. I will finish setting up my work shop up this week but need to go out this weekend and buy 1 last piece of wood working equipment.
I am going to make the table out of Oak plywood, oak hardwood boards, some cherry boards trim and walnut boards for the chip rails. I think these wood colors together will look great. I will use black leather type material wrap the foam area of the chip rail, as I already have my full size felt: Can't wait to get started but I will need to adjust my AutoCAD drawing to the full size dimensions once I can find them.
Thanks and I'll keep this posted updated as I progress! DeMango, Nov 10, Dec 20, Messages: Find Heavy here or on his website. He has several folks who have built or refurbished tables. DeMango , Nov 10, I did find this post here: Not quite sure though. SevenOut, Nov 11, Nov 9, Messages: I have had a number of 12 and 14 foot Casino tables. I pondered the idea of making some tables at 8 feet, and had a pool table business try to get some price to put some together using one of my tables as a template and shortening the length Getting a bit senile here.
If you are near Nevada, advertise that you want a table. Any one moving will sell it to you at a price you would be willing to drive buy it and pick up a second hand Casino layout to fit You might be able to get a Casino 8 foot table used, expect to pay a premium, but A used 12 foot or especially a 14 footer can be found easier than the convenient 8 foot table, like the one used in Davenport, Iowa's river boat Casino.
Jan 17, Threads: March 2nd, at 1: With the exception of these changes, there was no indication that this game was in anyway different from traditional craps. Even though I was up nicely, I left after the shooter crapped out when the point was 2 after having made the previous two points.
Other details are posted on the El Dorado website see below. It says something that craps players were avoiding this table. Like many craps players I assume , the only way I am going to do really well is if a shooter makes the points several times, and having available as points would seem to significantly reduces the odds of this happening.
Not to mention the odds on the Pass Line. It appears that this game has been around since , and a posting I found calculated that this upped the house edge from 1. So my questions are: How common is this game? Just how bad an idea is it to play it? If the table is consistently less crowded than regular craps, it would seem to me that Craps No More could attract inexperienced players that may not even notice the difference.
Craps No More as explained on the El Dorado website: The first difference you may notice is that there is no "Don't Pass" or "Don't Come. Any other number rolls and it becomes your point! Then you continue to win as any number rolls until you make your point or until a seven rolls.. Aside from that, all the other standard rules apply. Odds pay 11 to 2. Odds pay 11 to 4. Feb 21, Threads: I've heard this game called "Never Ever Craps". The only table I can recall seeing in Las Vegas in the past year is at Vegas Club downtown but it was recently dropped to 2x odds and rarely open.
Feb 27, Threads: So how is this different from Crapless Craps, which has been around for years and is discussed on the Wizard of Odds site as just another gimmick game that should be avoided?
